Gone...But not forgotten...

August James Strobbe

May 8, 1928 - November 28, 2020

August James Strobbe, born May 8,1928, in Pompeys Pillar, Montana, went to be with the Lord Nov. 28, 2020, just three weeks shy of his and his wife Jeanette's 70th wedding anniversary.

August was a sergeant in the Air Force and served in Germany in World War II. He was called back to service December of 1950 to serve in the Korean War.

August worked as an engineer for the Montana State Highway Department for over 36 years.

One of his greatest joys in life was traveling with Jeanette to Arizona and the southern states after retirement, where he met many lifelong friends.

August loved fishing, hunting and camping in his beloved state of Montana.

He was a loving husband to Jeanette, father to Debbie Hoerner (Larry), Jeanie Fee, Keith Strobbe (Jenn) and Greg Strobbe. He was grandpa to 11, great-grandpa to 19, great-great-grandpa to two, and had many loving nieces and nephews. August came from a family of nine children and is survived by his sister June Strobbe Kratochvil, and his brother Bob (Helen) Strobbe and sister-in-law Betty Strobbe.
