Gone...But not forgotten...

Richard ‘Dick’ Winters

September 13, 1950 - December 29, 2014

Richard “Dick” Winters passed away peacefully Dec. 29, 2014, at his home in Kila due to heart failure. He was born Sept. 13, 1950, to Grace Winters in Silverton, Ore.

Richard grew up in Salem, Oregon. He joined the Marine Corps and served our country bravely and honorably during the Vietnam War. He will leave many friends behind at the VFW in Kalispell. Richard was a devoted and loving husband to his wife, Ronna Gayle Winters, for 44 years. He was a caring and loving father to his children, Shawn Winters of Kila and JoAnn Winters of Marysville, Washington. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Kristen and Cody Boober of Marysville, Washington, and Baylee Winters of Stanwood, Washington; and one-great-grandchild, Blake Boober.  His occupations were millworking, logging, woodworking and long-haul truck driving.

His hobbies were hunting and fishing. His favorite enjoyment was watching deer on his property in Kila.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Grace Winters; two brothers, Joe and Robert; and two sisters, Irene and Mary. Richard is survived by three sisters: Betty, Grace and Jinny; and one brother, Terry.
